A member asked:

For what length of time can it be between the symptoms and rupture of a brain aneurysm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No delay: Patients with an an aneurysm usually present acutely with a rupture. Once the rupture occurs, the blood spills out into the brain. The symptoms are instantaneous. There is the sudden severe headache (often described as a "thunderclap headache"), sensitivity to light, nausea/vomiting, and even coma. Seek immediate medical attention.
