A member asked:

Hi is it common practice as a parent to hold your child on lap or any position during a blood draw process ? 2) can you let nurse hold your child also during blood draw ? this for infants or children over 2 to 6 years old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, children often react better when their mother is part of the procedure team. Whether or not a nurse or other person sat with and restrained the child would be based on the doctors' protocol.
