A member asked:

Been dizzy for 5 months straight now, and i just got blood test results back today, showing a high level of alt w/ p5p, and high level of c-reactive protein. is dizziness and these related, and what are the reasons why these results may be abnormal?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it might have helped had you provided the actual resutls. Wish you good health!

I'm not sure your dizziness can be explained by those.blood results. You don't mention how high your ALT is but high alcohol.intake can cause the elevation. High CRP is nonspecific. High vitamin B6 could be from taking vitamins. Is your dizziness lightheadedness or vertigo which is most commonly an inner ear disorder? If your MD isn't clear on what is causing your symptoms, consult a neurologist
