A member asked:

Ive recently seen my doctor due to high blood pressure readings, dizziness and fast heart rate. my iron test came back as 195 mcg/dl and the reference range was 50-175. my dr said the result was fine, but that seems high?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your iron level is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
