I've been prescribed symbicort ( not asthmatic) for post covid cough and i took it now for a week 2 puffs twice a day but it has caused me very fast heart rate i only took 2 puffs yesterday and one today is it safe to stop it now without weaning?

Pulmonary function testing may provide additional information. If you’re cough improved with the medication, your cough is most likely related to bronchospasm. If the cough persists, other conditions including a cardiac involvement should be considered. Other options include a shorter acting bronchodilator and a separate steroid inhaler. Avoid smoke exposure, keep all vaccinations updated.
