My son is almost 17 mo. since 3-4 mo he developed itchy red blotches and scaly rough feet. also itchy sometimes leaky eyes. doc said severe eczema then coxsackie virus. he takes hydroxyzine syrup, hydrocortisone and bethamasone cream. any ideas?

A food allergy panel, IgE and eosinophil count may be helpful. Other triggers include dust mold, and other allergens. Keep skin well moisturized with a baby eczema cream and avoid skin immersion and irritation. There are more rare skin conditions which should also be considered. Maintain a diary of possible triggers and flare ups. Watch for signs of wheezing and cough
