Stress and anxiety are not the causes of pulmonary hypertension. However, poor asthma control may eventually increase pulmonary pressure.

There are many conditions that may be the underlying cause for elevated Pulmonary artery pressure. Cardiac and lung disease may lead to pulmonary hypertension. Asthma is not usually associated, but obesity and sleep apnea, are possibly associated. An evaluation may also include an echocardiogram and chest imaging. Please specify your symptoms. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and dizziness
