No, only does chronic hypertension (year after year) cause irreversible brain damage but rarely in acute case unless you suffer a stroke due to the hypertensive crisis. Severe hypertensive crisis may cause neurologic symptoms such as confusion, blurred vision, convulsion, etc. but those usually resolve without residual damages if treated appropriately. BP of 160/100 rarely causes any acute issue.

You would not suffer "brain damage" from a modest transient blood pressure elevation of 160/100, and unlikely if currently on anti-hypertensive meds, that this will be a current morbidity. Have close followup with your doctor and discuss approaches to uncover cause of hypertension and interventions to control.
