One's spleen, stomach, left lung, and colon reside in the region under the left lower ribs. To determine the source of the "bubbly feeling", it's best to be examined by one's physician. The history and physical exam will determine the possible cause(s) and best tests to confirm the diagnosis.

Your symptoms point towards either stomach or transverse colon towards the splenic flexure as air is commonly trapped in these areas. Keep a log with your symptoms, timing to meals and/or bowel movements, etc, talk to your doc, bring log with you.
