It is not clear from your description whether the palpitations were also present with is episode. “Palpitations “ is a vague term and cannot be adequately explained in many instances. It is also important to know more about the chest pain whether precipitated by exertion, the duration of the pain, it’s radiation etc. Agree that you need a detailed evaluation.
