Birad 3 oval hypoechoic breast lesion stable for 3 years, confirmed on ultrasound. radiologist not that concerned but wants surveillance at 6, 12 and 24 months or mri? aren't lesions benign if no change or growth after 24 months?

" Hypoechoic" breast lesions can also be cancerous, but an MRI is not generally done unless digital mammography shows isolated calcifications in the affected breast. MRI's are done with a strong family history (mother, sister, grandmother) of breast cancer.
