Not everything you read is true. There might have been other reasons involved. While anything is possible in life, lack of physical activity alone does not cause heart attacks.

The causality has to be proven, so far is just an association. Lack of physical activity may create the premises for a variety of conditions that result in atherosclerosis and heart attacks that happens over years to decades. In this case it is mostly about an acute stress.
