Typically, amylase and lipase increase with acute pancreatitis. It is possible for the pancreas to mildly inflame during gastroenteritis. The lipase rises later than the amylase. If you are feeling fine, the levels will gradually decrease as the inflammation lessens. Repeat the levels in a couple of weeks, avoid alcohol as well. If you begin feeling ill, go to the nearest ER. Good luck!!

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided data. Wish you good health!
