A member asked:

If shoulder tendons have been badly worn but not torn, do they repair over time and if so how long roughly can this take ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tendons: Generally do not repair over time, but muscles can. If you can strengthen your muscles with physical therapy and exercise program, it might take over some of the shortcomings of your tendons. See orthopedic surgeon for further advice.
