Advil is avoided under age 6 mo. (issues of potential kidney toxicity) Afterward I consider it a more dependable fever reducer/pain med.

Tylenol is preferable for younger infants. Fever typically should resolve within 48 hours and is usually mild For more prolonged symptoms, an evaluation is recommended.
