Heart rate has dropped from 100 to 54 is this bad? i'm taking atendol 50mg?

If your heart rate was 100 before so the heart rate of 54 is due to atenolol effect and you should continue this medication. Dose should be reduced in half if heart rate is lower than 50. However, if your heart rate was 100 on atenolol before and now it drops to 54, you should hold atenolol or at least reduce dose in half and call your doctor on Monday.
