Rapid heart rate: It depends. If you run a fever, drink a lot of coffee or other caffeine-containing beverages, run around, are excited, or are in a very hot environment, it may be a normal response. If your heart rate stays that way even if you sit quietly in a cool environment, you probably should see a phy7sician.
