I woke up with a heavier, congested voice today. i don't feel sick at all. is this the same thing as a hoarse voice? what could be causing my voice to be like this if i'm fine otherwise, and is it cause for concern?

Congested voice is not similar to hoarseness. Congestion is more due to sinus than the larynx problem. There is nothing to concern, hydrate well and observe the symptom.
