I had a x-ray done and i was told that the findings said ligament disruption and wanted to know what that means my wrist been swollen for 10 days and i have been doing ice and ibprofen is this something that will need surgery?

A swollen and painful wrist joint requires attention from an Orthopedic surgeon or a hand surgeon. The medical treatments that you are doing may not be able to solve your problem. if there is a broken ligament it may require surgery to repair the damage. Good luck.
