"Symptoms of myasthenia gravis" are not necessarily proof of diagnosis. The standard antibodies are not always positive, especially in neuro-muscular junctional variants. Other antibodies may be tested, especially MUSK. A single fiber EMG can often clarify the diagnosis.

"AChr" is an acronym for acetylcholine receptor antibodies, and can be present in normal individuals, and elevated in cases of myasthenia gravis, with symptoms of muscle weakness even if within normal range.
