A member asked:

I read that some diabetics experience no symptoms, but does this also apply to people who have "uncontrolled diabetes"?

We only use the term "uncontrolled diabetes mellitus" when the patients had been already diagnosed and treated for diabetes mellitus but their glycemia and HbA1c have been out of ranges. So, most of them already experiences the diabetic symptoms such as symptoms with very high or low blood sugar or symptoms of diabetic related complications.
