Fatty liver will result in the liver enzymes going up and down. This is due to inflammation. Drinking alcohol will cause the liver enzymes to increase but they should go back down once you abstain from drinking. Alcohol consumption should be minimized in the presence of fatty liver to avoid progression to liver cirrhosis. Good luck to you!!

In my experience, CT or MRI are better in evaluating a fatty liver. Ultrasound findings are often a little less specific. The liver enzyme elevations I would take more seriously. It's likely your drinking is causing, or are adding to enzyme changes. The enzymes can and often do go back to normal, if you abstain from drinking. If you need help talk to your doc or ask for AA literature.
