Been told by a doctor that i have athletes foot but my foot is swollen and they didn't give me and answer for that, what can i do to help it, it it is a different infection?

Swelling of feet can be one side or affect both feet. It looks like it is only affecting one of your feet. This can be due to venous compression by a mass pressing on a large vein in the Groin/Pelvis . It can also occur due to blood clot in the leg veins(it is called DVT). Athletes foot is a superficial(on the surface) skin infection which does not cause swelling of the foot. Advise seek 2nd opini

A fungal infection can sometimes break the skin. This can allow a secondary bacterial infection can develop. You did not mention if the foot is red or tender to touch. I would seek your PCP or podiatrist
