If partner has Herpes (visible or not) or warts of any kind on penis, you may need to have ear/nose/throat specialist examine your throat for viral causes of your pharyngitis, some of which have been associated with throat and/or esophageal cancer. Best to be checked to set your mind at ease. Gargling with mix of warm salt water, mouthwash, & dash of peroxide can ease the pain. DON'T SWALLOW mix
