Either are fine at that age. I find Ibuprophen more effective & lasts longer.

I agree, more recent data indicates either. Avoid over or under treatment of fever. Keep him well hydrated. Check temperature prior to the medication. Watch for signs of shortness of breath. Vaccination is still recommended.

Either will work. Panadol is safer. Do not take more than 4 g in one day, no alcohol.
