I am sorry we can not answer if fever in your child is due to Bacterial or Viral infection.Since his fever is continuing you should have him checked by your Pediatrician or Family Doctor.He/She will look at his throat and examine middle year and rest of exam and tests if needed like Quick Strep test/Blood test if indicated to make diagnosis.If it is Bacterial he will need Antibiotics Rx
