Stomach ulcers are treatable with readily available medications that your doctor can prescribe. See your doctor at your earliest so that you can eat and take better care of your health. A gastric or stomach ulcer is more serious than the more common duodenal peptic ulcer. It may be worsened by eating, takes longer to heal and follow-up is very important. I like to have a gastroenterologist treat & follow gastric ulcers to assure that complete healing has occurred. I've seen some very large, stubborn &very symptomatic gastric ulcers requiring weeks to heal. Diet& medication needed
