I had a stent placed in my right ureter two weeks ago. i had lithotripsy done yesterday and the stent will be taken out next week. my question is, can i swim in a lake this weekend? i swam in a salt water pool and ocean last week without probem. thx?

If you have a wound that has not yet fully healed, I would not swim in any unsanitary body of water (lake or ocean).

I would have said no swimming or bathing until the stent is removed. However you've already been swimming. I assume your urologist gave you the.OK. Check again.about lake swimming though.

If the lower end of the stent is not sticking out of the urinary opening- you can. You have already swamin other places with no bad effects. all swimming pools are chlorinated
