At some point the rest of the filling is likely to loosen and drop out and the tooth may become infected when germs enter. I would consult your dentist who may recommend a crown be applied after removing some of the rest of the tooth. They often provide a temporary crown wile a more durable permanent crown is made the proper color tint in a lab.
