Vague: Depends upon how long ago you had dental treatment done. If recent, then your discomfort may be from the procedure and the fillings. If not, then you may have a TMJ/TMD issue or possibly exacerbated one that is appearing now. Need a history and thorough assessment.. FGirst question your dentist.

Pain: Have you had fillings recently? It could be a tender joint capsule from opening too wide to bite the end of a hard roll or french bread however the best thing to do is to see your dentist for an exam of the area to determine the best treatment to alleviate the pain. Let us know how it turns out.

TMJ: Sounds like TMJ. See your dentist to confirm. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
