Tested positive for covid, there are times when i cough that i get extreme pain in both of my shoulders and arms. heard that it can be due to some congestion in my lungs? what can i do to relieve the pain?

Try Tylenol or Ibuprofen for a few days if not better pl see your MD. I hope you feel better

For extreme pain, please see a physician. Watch for signs of shortness of breath. Muscle pain may occur due to strain and inflammation of chest wall muscles. An imaging study is helpful in determining whether there is pneumonia.

In general, unless there is a contradiction, for pains like that - OTC medications like Aleve, Ibuprofen, Tylenol... should be tried first. Also avoid Cold Foods/Drinks with active Covid infection. And if pain persists or fever develops , see the PCP or Urgent care services.
