GI dysfunctions may occur late along the course of a progressive MS but unlikely at the early stages of RRMS. Diverticulosis is very common in middle-aged and older individuals and unlikely to be related to MS. Periods of Remissions (no symptoms) can vary in length depending on many other variables like overall health, environment, treatments etc.

As mentioned many times on HT, Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the eyes, brain, and spinal cord, and does not directly cause any gastrointestinal disorders or symptoms. There is NO relationship to diverticulosis. Relapses can occur far less frequently when highly effective meds are employed. See your neurologist regularly.
