There is no definite periodicity of reoccurence and remission it is based on factors that may affect you like stress, illnesses and toxic exposures that precipitate the relapses. It is important to learn the alternative management of MS in addition to the medications to maximise benefits for your well being. If you are optimistic and 'in love' with you and others you are likely to maintain better.

Would hope that you have been started on a high-efficacy disease-modifying agent. However, maximal benefits may take several months to build up. A relapse can occur early on, and duration can be brief, but important to sort out pseudo relapses which last less than 24 hrs, and may be caused by hot surroundings, fever, infections, and toxicity. Need to work closely with your local neurologist.
