I suffer from pretty bad anxiety. i have been taking benzos for many years. i was doing some research on long term use, and found an article that said long benzo use can be affiliated with increase chance of cancer. any truth to this? anxiety is bad?

It is best you stay on your med and next time you see your prescriber discuss your concerns with her/him. Cancer from meds is rare and takes a long time to occur.

Lots of so-called experts on the internet, many of whom have nefarious motives. You can decide on your own who to trust, but glad you have come here for honesty. We have decades of experience with benzodiazepines, and if cancer were a true risk, we would have learned this years ago.
