A member asked:

I had bone debridement and placed on iv for six weeks then placed on oral antibiotics what is likelihood of amputation or is debridement kind of like the same thing?

This is a question for your treatment team. No two cases are identical. Without a full understanding of the case with all relevant tests/studies no reasoned answer is possible.

Amputation is removal of a limb. Debridement is removal of dead tissue only. They are not the same thing. Hope you do well and dont need amputation.
