Yes ; Yes to both --: Questions, but it would depend on the presentation, findings on examination, presence of vascularity or not, other conditions like diabetes, hx of smoking, skin condition of the foot, any sores/ulcers present, etc. If the problem is in the foot only with no other conditions that can affect the result, then a foot amputation will be the way to go; otherwise a bka is more appropriate.
