Could have ruptured : You might have torn some of the supporting ligaments around the tendon. You need to see a hand surgeon.

Tendinopathy: You may have a snapping tendon syndrome or tenosynovitis (swelling in the tendon sheath that surrounds the actual tendon). You may require further treatment. Speak to your orthopedist regarding your options.
