A member asked:

My son is 13 and recovered from covid 2 weeks ago. yesterday he started to not feel good. this morning i took his temperature because he felt very warm and it was 103. i gave him motrin and fever never came back. why would it be so short of a fever?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In some instances a fever can last only a few hours. Whatever caused his fever was very transitory. I wouldn't worry that it was anything serious unless recurrent fevers develop which appears unlikely if he has no symptoms at this time.
