My 5yr old have some swollen lymph nodes on her neck one measures 1.9 x 0.9cm with irregular morphology. her blood work was normal but ent prescribed antibiotics (amoxicillin. i would like a second opinion will they shrink back with the antibiotics?

If not getting smaller yet (depending on how many days your child has been on amox) I suspect it is not due to a bacteria but best to ask your ENT.

You could watch and wait. Even with successful treatment of infection, the node may take weeks to regress. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.
