I had labcorp's covid antibody test (shown as sars-cov-2 spike ab dilution on the report). the result was 12,895 u/ml. no one i know has had a result over 1000. what does this mean? are there different tests or methods of reporting results?

It means you either have been infected with COVID or vaccinated, or both, and have had a strong immune response. The higher number suggests you might have been vaccinated or infected fairly recently, but otherwise makes no difference.
