Abscesses have to be treated timely and before they become life threatening. Would recommend an in person visit with your doc or a local urgent care/community clinic in case incision and drainage is required. The irony is if you trying to reduce the financial damage, staying ahead will save you money as a visit to ER will be the most expensive, if not having insurance.
