Depends on healing: Most important treatment for stress fracture of wrist is complete rest to the wrist joint for three weeks. Patient should stop the activities that were responsible for causing stress fracture of wrist. Should then be assessed by physician for time table of resuming activities. Gymnasts, tennis player, basket ball players, divers are vulnerable to wrist overuse. Elevation of wrist is important to reduce swelling for first two days. During the recovery stage, patient should take care that the activities that were responsible for causing stress fracture should not be resumed quickly, or else a large fracture and complete fracture may develop.
