The pea sized lump in front of your ear is likely a benign lymph node, which has swollen in size, making it more noticeable. Mobility beneath the skin & normal overlying skin make cancer less likely. However, if the lump increases in size, changes in appearance, becomes immobile, or similar lumps appear elsewhere, I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor.

Cancer very unlikely. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
