A member asked:

Pea-sized skin-colored lump behind the left ear, been there for years, doesn't move when touched, gets tender sometimes, what could it be?

It is either a reactive lymph node or a sebacious cyst (post-auricular location). The lymph node is firm but the cyst is somewhat softer. Because the lump is tender at times so it is more likely a cyst. Whatever it is, it is common and benign.
