An eGFR of 10 is not compatible with a healthy state. The person will likely need chronic dialysis and may be a kidney transplant. It is imperative to consult a nephrologist to ascertain if any of the damage is reversible. for info: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/kidney-disease/diagnosis/#:~:text=Chronic%20kidney%20disease%20(CKD)%20can,may%20not%20be%20working%20normally.

This person has severe bilateral obstructive nephropathy due to bladder outlet obstruction. Once the retention is relieved either by foley catheter or procedure, renal function may or may not recover which depends on the duration of obstruction. Without partial improvement and unchanged eGFR after one month, this person can survive for 1-2 years without dialysis but much longer with dialysis.
