38yr old female non smoker normal bmi wanted combined pill to help my cystic acne but gp said could not prescribe it,as i get migraine aura,migraine headache but both seperately .gp said high risk for stroke or blood clot but i have normal bp.true?

Oral combination birth control pills are contraindicated in persons who have migraine with aura because of increased risk for strokes regardless of blood pressure or other risk factors.

If you have classical migraine headaches with auras, the risk of stroke increases with smoking and female hormones, and your doctor is correct! Normal blood pressure is immaterial in this situation.

Migraine Aura attacks may cause lack of blood in parts of the brain,making a person more vulnerable to stroke.So would it be beneficial to keep moving with an Aura to keep the blood moving from constriction of the vessels in the head to avoid clots?
