More than half of the normal population has been infected with HSV 1 and CMV. There is no cause for concern. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

It's normal to have these viruses; once acquired (usually in childhood) they persist for life. There is no cure, but usually harmless and probably not the cause of your peripheral neuropathy. Your obesity (body mass index very high at 34, if you are average height) and smoking are FAR greater health risks than CMV or HSV. You need to seriously modify your lifestyle. Discuss with your doctor.
