HSV 1 causes cold sores. Both HSV 1 and CMV are present in a majority of the people and are not a contraindication to taking Covid-19 vaccination.

Cold sores are only caused by HSV; if you're having an outbreak, it's the HSV1, not the CMV. Either way, you can safely and effectively take any COVID vaccine.
