Can coughing with a hiatal hernia make it worse. im unwell so ive been coughing a lot and its hurting a lot more and causing me to feel sick?

Severe cough can exacerbate hiatal hernia but your tummy pain is more likely from the strained muscles of abdominal wall rather than from more acid reflux. Pain from strained muscles gets worse during coughing or moving your belly.
