I took my first dose of 10mg. alfuzosin for restricted urine flow . after 12 hours i am experiencing some jaw pain and slight headache . the urine flow improved very quickly . is the jaw pain a serious side effect of alfuzosin or will it improve?

Both jaw pain and headache are listed as side effects of alfuzosin but the incidence is unknown. Those are not serious side effects and you should not stop this medication because of its effectiveness. In general, our body likely overcomes the side effects with daily use.
